The ASICS TIGER ‘FAR SIDE OF THE MOON’ PACK – SIZE? EXCLUSIVE is the latest store exclusive between the retailer and Japanese runner brand.

The two silhouettes and colourways take their inspiration from 1959’s Luna 3 space mission, which was the first to photograph the far side of the moon. Until that moment, humans had never laid eyes on the 41% of the moon’s surface that remains hidden, as it always faces away from the Earth thanks to ‘tidal locking’ – or simply gravity to you and me. To honour this, ASICS Tiger and size? have released new GEL-Lyte V and GEL-Lyte III. Both sport Olive and Black uppers that are clad in ‘hairy suede’, which takes its influence from the suits worn by the Soviet cosmonauts during Luna 3 mission. Both models feature Castlerock and Clay accents, which represent the orbiting moon. As a finishing touch, there is a Cyrillic Russian translation of ‘Luna 3’ sitting on the tongue branding, to continue the theme visible throughout.

The first customers purchasing from size?’s Manchester, Meadowhall, Carnaby St, Amsterdam, Paris and Bordeuax stores will receive limited edition boxes, patches and pin sets. These are available in extremely limited quantities on a first come, first serve basis.

The ASICS TIGER ‘FAR SIDE OF THE MOON’ PACK – SIZE? EXCLUSIVE will be available online and in SIZE? stores on FRIDAY 10 FEBRUARY via the banner below.
