The SIZE? x ASICS TIGER GEL-LYTE OG JAPANESE BASEBALL pays homage to Japan’s passion and enthusiasm for baseball. First introduced to the country in 1872, baseball is by far Japan’s most popular sporting pastime. Travelling to baseball matches to support your local team is a right of passage for many followers of the game: for many, it serves as a family tradition for fathers to take their sons and daughters to events to share the enjoyment.

Selecting one of the original models from the ASICS archive, the GEL-Lyte OG, the team at size? have gone to work on this special limited edition collaboration project. Making use of a strong selection of materials that directly reference baseball, the end result is a smart easy-to-wear piece of premium footwear that should find fans across the (playing) field. Light grey satin is found on both the sidewall underlay and toe box – the same kind use to create baseball jerseys – whilst tonal cross stitching on the heel counter and sidewall gives a nod to the baseball itself. Contrasting leather stripes on either side of the upper sections represent the styling of a pitcher’s glove.
