Release Reminder: Skepta’s PUMA ‘Skope Forever’

British rapper and producer Joseph Junior Adenuga, better known as Skepta, has made waves in the sneaker world once again. And this time, it’s a bold collaboration with PUMA. Departing from his previous partnership with Nike, Skepta’s latest venture introduces the Skepta x PUMA ‘Skope Forever’, a sneaker design that promises to turn heads. Alongside this sneaker, the duo will also release a tracksuit, backpack, beanie, bodywarmer, and gloves on Saturday 18th May 2024 at 00:00.

Skeppy shook things up in 2022 by revealing his new partnership with PUMA, waving goodbye to his collaboration with the Swoosh. We were caught off guard by the announcement, especially considering the success of his Nike collaborations, such as the iconic Nike Air Max 97 from 2017. But, you know what they say – change can be a good thing. Right? And from the sneak peeks we’ve seen, this PUMA project is no exception.

Take a peek at the Skepta x PUMA ‘Forever’ and you might think, “hmm, pretty simple, just black, right?“. Sorry to break it to you, but in this case, you’d be wrong. There’s much more than what meets the eye! The reflective overlays are like secret treasures, giving an extra edge to the sleek black design. And don’t even get us started on the wavy midsole with its funky chrome patch – it’s pure Y2K goodness.

The Skepta x PUMA ‘Skope Forever’ design nods to Skepta’s journey. Adorned with shiny metallic touches reminiscent of his Nike partnership and colours inspired by his album ‘Ignorance Is Bliss’, these kicks are the epitome of his cool style.

Collection

Alongside the kicks, Skepta’s bringing out a whole clothing line designed like his personal uniform. Think slick PUMA x Skepta Track Jacket and Track Pants, inspired by PUMA’s iconic T7 tracksuit.

But that’s not all – there’s a bodywarmer in the mix too, with a unique fit and hidden pockets for all your essentials. And of course, you gotta have the matching backpack, keeping you looking fresh while carrying all your gear. To top off the full look, they’re throwing in gloves and a beanie as accessories.
