SoleSeekers the Film: The First-Ever Documentary on the UK Trainer Scene

SOLESEEKERS THE FILM, ‘the UK’s first ever feature length documentary on the UK trainer culture’, premieres at the end of March 2018 – and from what the trailer shows, it looks like it’s going to be absolutely bangin’.

SoleSeekers documents the highs and lows of trainer culture in the UK, featuring interviews with Kish Kash, Robert Brooks, Franklin Boateng (The King of Trainers), Magdi Fernandes, our own Ryan Barr (TDD) and several other influential figures in the UK trainer scene. From its initial concept way back in 2014, this collection of cultural references, historic occasions and overflowing passion has resulted in something that all those involved can be proud of. From the tales of misspent youth through to the formulation of the Yeezy Retirement plan, SoleSeekers aims to trigger emotions, reactions, thoughts and feelings amongst not just the hardcore trainer community but to anyone who’s ever been interested in UK youth culture.

Emil Collins, the producer and director, says, “From inspiration to rejection to inspiration again, the journey of this documentary not only represents my own passion and personal achievement but also what can be accomplished when a community pulls together. My creation, SoleSeekers, is the true definition of ‘For The Culture’”
