Soccer Meets Skate with the Supreme x Nike SB Gato

The SUPREME x NIKE SB GATO finds New York’s finest linking up with Nike once again on an interesting and appropriate footwear release.

Supreme might have worked on some of the most celebrated models on previous Nike collaborations (Dunk, Jordan V, Air Force 1), but they’re not afraid of mixing it up and digging a bit deeper into the design vaults either. The Gato will be a new shoe to many out there, as it’s firmly rooted in football (or soccer, if you prefer) culture, but it’s been around for a while now. Originally created as a performance product for football, the Gato is a low profile shoe with a traditional-styled upper section, making it a fast, flexible piece of footwear that’s well-suited to almost any impact sport. This updated version gives the basic design an updated twist that makes it perfect for skating as well as its intended use. Four colourways are planned to release later this week: black, white, red, and light blue.
