Designed in glowing celebration of Nike’s Breaking2 attempt to shatter the two-hour marathon barrier, the Zoom Fly SP is exactly what you’d imagine a premium Nike running shoe to be. Capturing the early prototype phase of the Breaking2 footwear line, the shoe also incorporates added design elements that indicate how the shoe was developed, as well as commemorating the three runners’ efforts at  Autodromo Nationale Monza in Italy, where the Breaking2 run took place in May of last year.

Fast enough for race day, yet durable enough for everyday training – the ultra-lightweight and breathable model features a translucent stretch-woven upper that’s set to tackle any track, paired with a light and responsive sculpted Lunarlon foam midsole to keep comfort intact. A 10mm offset design minimises Achilles strain, alongside a 33-mm stack height to ensure infallible impact protection mile after mile.

Testament is made to Nike’s Breaking2 attempt in Monza track with various running-themed designs on the shoe’s insanely lightweight tongue and midsole, including the Swoosh pinwheel icon designed in 1976 by Nike’s first ever employee, Jeff Johnson. The colourful sockliner also paves way for some of the original design sketches, adding an extra dose of personality to the premium shoe.
