If you’re not familiar with the model (which is understandable given it’s 25-year-hiatus), then allow us to get you up to speed. Brought into fruition by designer Peter Schidmt many moons ago, the Germany-based retailer wasn’t anticipating to sell anymore than 10,000 pairs of these unique kicks. During this time, the progressive model was distinctively different to anything else on the market. Flaunting an exterior that captured a futuristic perspective through its experimental design, it was this factor that saw the silhouette skyrocket past a million sales post debut. With a name translating to ‘Monster’ in Italian, this authentic offering is recognised as a cultural reset, so it’s no surprise that we’re seeing a reemergence in 2024.

Landing as a remastered version of the Mostro’s that have paved the way – the upcoming pack incorporates all of the elements that we know and love. Let’s take a closer look at the nostalgic offerings at hand.

A Closer Look at the PUMA Mostro Pack…

Steering away from more traditional Mostro trimmings of leather and suede, the new editions boast a harmonious blend of mesh and lycra. Maintaining the core aesthetic of an experimental and unconventional nature, the capsule injects influence from the ‘60s and ‘80s. Iconic design features such as the low-profile silhouette and spiked sole drive a distinctive flair, assisting the Light Grey and Yellow palettes within each of the offerings.
