Vans kickstarted a skate shoe revolution when they launched in the mid-‘60s, with skaters across SoCal quickly noting sticky waffle-soled shoe’s expert grip. Early skate icons Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta designed the Era back in 1975, which was first known by the catalogue number #95. Its pioneering canvas construction was a playground for colourways and its padded collar, paired with the trademark Vans waffle sole, made it a real skate staple.
