Go Gonzo with the Vans Vault x Ralph Steadman Collection

The new VANS VAULT x RALPH STEADMAN collection links the iconic illustrator and artist with Vans Vault for a special wildlife-themed collection.

Despite being in his 80s, Welsh artist Ralph Steadman is showing no signs of slowing down his creativity or artistic output, as this new collaboration collection with Vans proves. Extensive is a key word here, as the eight-shoe capsule collection includes four Vans Slip-Ons, two Vans Sk8-His and two takes on the Style 138. Steadman’s bold prints, illustrations, and colours are utilised across every inch of all eight pairs, with key elements taken from his work that was featured in Ceri Levy’s books Extinct Boids, Nextinction, and Critical Critters. Levi and Steadman label themselves as ‘Gonzovationists’: a philosophy that uses humour as a means of engaging the wider public in debates around how best to protect endangered species. With this in mind, Vans have formed a partnership with WildAid, an organization aiming to reduce global consumption of wildlife products and bolster support for conservation efforts, donating $10,000 to the charity.
