The Vans x size? Bold Ni Patchwork III is a Real Head-Turner

The Factory Floor series continues with its third instalment – the spliced and stitched VANS X SIZE? BOLD NI PATCHWORK III…

Back in its early years, Vans offered customisation across most aspects of its shoes, with customers able to choose their own fabrications, laces, and prints on midsoles. Although this practice faded away as the SoCal business expanded, size? look back to this golden era with a spliced patchwork spin on the Bold Ni, working offcuts from several different shoes from the Anaheim factory floor to create something completely new. Thirteen different monochromatic patterned and textured materials appear across the pair – including panels of Vans’ iconic checkerboard detailing, dogtooth patterning, camo, polka dots, denim and suede, shaggy pony hair, translucent TPU, 3M reflective accents and blacked-out denim. A classic UltraCush equipped white midsole works its magic underfoot, with black bumpers appearing on the front to add a further touch of contrast.
