It’s not that often we see the queen of do-it-yourself fashion hit the footwear collaborations, but a little nudge from her Japanese sneaker enthused creative director (and husband) Andreas Kronthaler has seen Westwood tap into the market with leading brand ASICS to transform both the GEL-KAYANO 5 OG and slightly more daring GEL-MAI. The first option adopting leather and mesh upper in Classic Red and Electric Blue, with the iconic orb and cross logo stamped on the back heel. The Gel-Mai takes no prisoners with an ankle-hugging sock construction in White featuring a “squiggle” print in Fiery Red, along with Vivienne Westwood branded heel pulls and fuzeGEL cushioning underfoot.
