As 2020 marks the 25th anniversary of the original design’s release, the Nike Air Max 95 Neon remains to be one of the few shoes that we’ll never tire of seeing. When designing the Air Max 95, Sergio Lozano took inspiration from a variety of natural sources: the iconic sidewalls were inspired by gradients and patterns caused by erosion, whilst other sections were an interpretation of the human body and its layers of muscle and tissue. Featuring a supportive mesh upper with leather and synthetic overlays, the Max Air units in the heel and forefoot provide lightweight impact protection, with the rubber outsole ensuring durable traction underfoot.
