Founded by brothers Ayman and Osama Abdeldayem in 2015, Carpet Company could be Baltimore’s best-kept secret. Starting out in their parents Baltimore basement, the ‘The Skateboard Technician Company’ became known for holding down full-time jobs at both NASA and Pepco during the day and then producing hand-screened boards and other skate products by night. Word has grown over the years and the Carpet Company’s bi-annual pop-up shop has become a popular hang-out for locals to swing by and catch their latest drops. For this special edition of the Dunk SB, the brothers have used suede, canvas and premium leather to create tear-away fabric overlays that wear down to reveal graphics inspired by the brand’s screen-printing processes. Dark Sulfur, White and Royal-Pulse keep things vibrant throughout the design: the Cream cupsole features a smart gum outsole that hints at the co-founders’ Arabian roots.
