Saucony Grid 9000 Letterman – A First Look

The SAUCONY GRID 9000 LETTERMAN takes inspiration from the traditional jacket worn by sports players at college.

Over the years LETTERMAN jackets have become a bit of a fashion statement, with their distinctive wool bodies, leather sleeves and chenille patches, which makes them a great choice as inspiration for a pair of trainers. The upper combines Black leather on the toe, with grey wool at the mid-foot and heel, whilst pop is provided by the red chenille ‘S’ patch on the tongue, matching stripes on the eyelet strap and the 1898 embroidered on the heel. A white midsole adds some stark contrast down below, whilst the ever popular choice of a gum outsole completes the look. LETTERMAN jackets may not be to everyone’s tastes, but the footwear they have inspired looks pretty good to us.
