Run The Boroughs: Westminster

RUN THE BOROUGHS head West to explore the heart of the capital…

Since introducing themselves to the world earlier this year, New Balance backed running squad Run The Boroughs have moved from strength to strength in their quest to unite runners from across London; regardless of gender, age or abilities. Led by poet William Stowe, the crew aims to traverse some, if not all, of the capital’s 32 boroughs, but unlike many running clubs, seeks to explore the city without the pressures of all-time personal bests and peak performance.

Previously, the crew stayed closer to home in Tower Hamlets, but this time they branch out into the high-end hustle and bustle of Westminster. Reaching from the riverside haunts of Westminster City and Vauxhall and stretching all the way around to Belgravia, Paddington, Marylebone, Mayfair and Convent Garden – it’s a place of politics, tourism, fashion and extreme wealth that at times divides Londoners. Whether you love it or hate it, the boroughs plethora of parks and palaces undeniably cement this as the heart of the city. Crew leader William Stowe was joined by our own Elliot Jones and Lewis Rees from Oi Polloi London, for a run around Westminster where they shared their thoughts and feelings on the unmistakably powerful borough.

RUN THE BOROUGHS is open for business: if you’d like to join the club or find out more head over to the Instagram and if you need running gear re-up, hit the banner below to shop the latest performance gear from NEW BALANCE.
